E-GROUPS

Church, during these times we are having to rethink ministry. Not the message, but the method. None of us would have guessed we would be here, but here we are! So what do we do? We RISE UP! This is our time to shine forth the HOPE OF JESUS CHRIST! In doing this, we have to make sure the local body is connected and strong! We are better together! Pastor Anthony Milas, an advisor and mentor to me, has begun to implement a thing called E-Groups. This is a simple way to keep people connected, and looked after during this time! We are adapting E-Groups to fit our local body here at CP!  A pastor's job is to “Eqip the saints” Ephesians 4:12. My job is to try to ensure you are taken care of. I can’t do this alone, so that is why we are implememting E-Groups. I can’t MAKE you join, but I STRONGLY encourage you to take advantage of this!

Why E-Group?

  • The Bible tells us to make the most of every opportunity (Colossians 4:5) so we are going to try something we have never done before.

  •   It’s a simple way for us to connect with people online to offer the encouragement that we get from the Lord, his word, and from each other.

What is an E-Group?

  •  E-Groups are in place to encourage you and to help you build community, regardless of circumstances in our world today.

  • These groups are not discipleship groups etc...they exist to encourage one another in this thing called life.

  • Because this is an online group, there’s multiple online options: Zoom, Google Meet, Facetime, Skype, etc. One of the easiest and user-friendly platforms is FB Messenger Groups. FB Messenger has a FaceTime feature for Groups. Your E-Group leader will implement whichever is best for your particular group. Don’t panic, If you are not tech-savvy, YOU CAN DO THIS!

  •  An online group of roughly 5-10 people that meet online. Some meet weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly.  They meet about 15-20 minutes to encourage each other, catch up, keep up, and pray for each other.

When / Where do E-Groups meet?

  • E- Groups meet at different times: Weekly, Bi-Weekly, and Monthly.

  • Because this is an online group, there’s multiple online options: Zoom, Google Meet, Facetime, Skype, etc. One of the easiest and user-friendly platforms is FB Messenger Groups. FB Messenger has a FaceTime feature for Groups. However, if being on a video etc. isn't something you desire, group texting is always a simple solution of communication!

Who is an E-Group for?

  • This is for everyone that wants to receive some encouragement during the week

  • Open to friends, family, coworkers, etc. This is an opportunity to reach people who otherwise wouldn’t attend a church service

  • This is also for our church family to stay connected to each other and continue getting to know each other
